Dossier — Cayin RU3
The brochure speaks; the silicon answers. What follows is what each has said.

UAC1 Mode
The vendor publishes no separate claim for this mode; the descriptor stands as the sole record.

Remarks
The RU3 carries a mode switch, and the network sees a different device on each throw of it. In UAC 2 — the mode Cayin specs, and the one that reaches the RU3's ceiling — the descriptor witnesses the full claim kept: native 16-, 24-, and 32-bit containers, each carrying the ladder to 768 kHz on a high-speed asynchronous interface. A depth and a rate are both named and both met, so the PCM line scores plainly. Thrown to UAC 1, the same silicon presents a smaller face for driverless hosts — 16- and 24-bit to 96 kHz, no DSD — witnessed here but unscored, for Cayin publishes no UAC 1 figure to weigh it against.
On DSD the claim is whole and native, and the transport is the real one. Cayin names DSD512, and the UAC 2 descriptor answers with a Type-1 raw one-bit alt reaching DSD512 — no DoP marker, no PCM decimation in the path. Where the DoP transport is often printed as though it were native, the RU3's copy and its silicon agree: the one-bit stream is carried raw to the converter, exactly as the sheet prints it.
