Remarks

The most complete self-declaration in the Concordance. Where most devices announce a model and little else, the 9038D writes its full specification into its own USB product string — PCM32/384, DSD256 — and the descriptor's alt-settings then ratify every word of it. E1DA specs PCM to 32-bit / 384 kHz and native DSD to DSD256; the wire delivers exactly that: an asynchronous USB Audio Class 2 interface, discrete 16-, 24-, and 32-bit PCM containers each carrying the full ladder to 384 kHz, and a raw DSD alt carried natively to DSD256. Claim and witness arrive on the same device, and they agree.

On DSD, E1DA names native — and where many dongles leave the transport unspoken, the descriptor settles it outright: a native one-bit stream via the raw alt, not DSD-over-PCM. The ES9038Q2M behind the output is measured hardware from a measurement-first maker; the Rite adds nothing to that record but confirmation. Both weighable claims met at the wire. The USB vendor block is not a mark unique to E1DA, but here it carries no ambiguity — the string names maker, model, and spec at once.
